The VDT1080H is a scientific research grade camera with a highly-sensitive Sony CMOS sensor. This camera offers 1080p live-viewing over HDMI, and can record 5MP photos and 1080p video directly to an SD card. The VDT1080H has the addition of auto-focus which limits the need to make manual focus adjustments when using the camera as the primary means of observation. When connected to an HDMI TV or monitor, live video can be viewed at a rate of 60fps. Alternatively, when the camera is connected through Wi-Fi, live video can be streamed at a rate of 25fps.
The included Windows software offers measurement, image-stitching, extended-depth-of-focus and has the ability to calibrate scales at multiple magnifications. For Mac and Linux, the software is able to capture video and still images, and offers exposure control, color adjustment and measurement tools.
The camera is made from tough, CNC aluminum alloy and is designed with a high-quality IR-CUT filter to protect the camera sensor. The camera uses a C-mount interface, making it compatible with a wide range of reduction lenses and photo-ports.
**Please note C-mount lens threads should not exceed 5mm due to the auto-focus camera mechanism**
